Hello everyone! Today I am going to be showing you how to do a super cute heart tip nail design. If you're like me and have trouble doing fancy nail art, my easy cheat of using french manicure stickers will have your nails looking for love in no time. Or pointing you in the right direction! Anyway, here's what you'll need!
Unless you're lucky enough to have fabulous nails already, False nails. Here I used a Finishing Touches set I got from Superdrug, the nails are a natural long square shape.
Nail Glue, I really like Elegant Touches brush on glue.
Nail Polish, I chose Barry M Hi-Shine in Pomegranate and a very pale pink by Accessorize.
Nail Clippers
Scissors
French Manicure stickers
Nail polish remover and cotton buds

Nail File
The first step to nail glory is to glue the nails on. Now some girls may prefer to buff over their natural nails with a file, however I don't feel this is necessary, but if you would rather do that feel free too.
It's best to choose a nail which fits over your natural nail and doesn't push against the sides of your skin. I apply the brush on glue to my natural nails then put a few drops of glue on the false nail. Put the nail on straight, apply pressure for a few seconds and hey presto, you've got nails.
Next is to cut the corners off of the nails to create a pointy claw! Of course if you already have oval falsies you won't have to do this. Simply cut each corner off being careful not to cut your own nail. Now what's this I hear you say, they look ridiculous, well not for long they don't.
Simply take your nail file and file round the edges in a semi circle motion, being careful not to file the tip to much as we are trying to create an oval shape and not a straight edge. Now your nails are fabulous and ready to paint!
Apply your pale pink or cream shade to the nail, I had to apply two coats as the polish was quite thin. If you make any mistakes, do not threat, simply take a cotton wool bud and dip it into some nail polish remover and lightly rub off any polish that may have gone astray. Simply wait 10 - 15 minutes for the polish to dry and then move on!
This is where the 'fun' begins! Taking a manicure sticker simply cut it in half and using the outer edges stick them to the nail to create an m shape. However if you prefer the harsher edged hearts you can do a v shape like the middle finger. This may take a few tries to perfect but just place the stickers down lightly to avoid pulling any polish off the nail. Don't worry we're nearly done..
The next and final step is to take your desired shade, here I have opted for a deep pink shade and simply paint below the stickers! Be careful not to go over the top line of the sticker or all of your hard work will have been for nothing! If you do however don't despair you can always dab it off with remover later.
Then just wait.. depending on the consistency and drying time your polish takes I would wait at least 20 minutes, just to be sure. After you've waited, rip off those stickers! Slowly of course, don't go too wild.
You will be left with beautiful heart shaped tips.
I really hope you enjoyed my first little tutorial! I know it's not the best in the world, but practice makes perfect. I think this nail design would look really pretty with different colours too so have fun and experiment with it. Everyone deserves to have beautiful nails, even if you're faking it!
Thanks for reading.
